Lila Chupa Hoops
Paris France
She started her hoop journey 12 years ago in Paris, France and it has been more than 9 years that she decided to quit her job to live the full experience as a hoop artist and teacher. Self-taught, she built a diverse repertoire of performances, including emblematic vintage circusy acts that she plays all over Europe. Lila won her first title at the Geneva Burlesque Festival in 2015 with her rockabilly hooptease, mixing her circus skills to the traditional pin-up strip. Burlesque has been the starting point of her career so of course, you can see this style quite predominant in her flow and dance. Inspired by flowarts in general, Lila has a rather technical style and uses 1 to 6 hoops as well a wide range of objects (fans, dragonstaff, whips...). In 2017, she was awarded as European Hooper of the Year, Double Hooper of the Year and Best solo performance video from @hoopingdotorg | Check her out on Instagram
Morgan Jenkins
aka Miss Mo’Jangles is a Los Angeles-based hoop performer, international instructor, and was named the 2016 USA Hooper of the Year. She is known for her sassy Hoopography performances, creating the Hooptown Hotties, her cinematic hoop videos (Despondence, Worth It, Halo, Ready For It, Bang Bang, Portal, Flowmance, Dark Paradise, LUCID ), and her role in Showtimes original TV show, “Roadies”. Morgan has been teaching at international hoop retreats and conventions since 2015. Her goal is to inspire others to express their personality & creativity through movement, and she encourages hoopers to #hooplikeyou in her unprecedented hoop intensive: Hoop X. She serves on the board of Lumia Dance Company as the creative director, and choreographs for the LA fire conclave, The Firemingos. Morgan is a new mom who hooped her way through pregnancy and is excited to dive back into teaching at the 2023 High Altitude Hoop Retreat!

LilHoopGirl
Angela, aka lilhoopgirl, started hooping freshman year of college when she needed a personal outlet. After watching a few videos on Instagram, she decided to go for it. Since picking up her first hoop in 2016, Angela has taught online and all over the world, including virtual HAHR in 2020, HAHR 2021 in Colorado & HAHR 2022 in Santa Fe. Angela says, "Hula hooping has completely shaped my world. It has been what I have needed through self-discovery as a proud queer woman, a better ally to BIPOC, and understanding that what we act upon ripples into our community. Hula hooping consistently shows me that persistence is key, comfort is found through movement, and life is really just one big circle of learning. I know this is just the beginning for me.” | Follow Angela on Instagram
