To ensure your journey to HAHR is as smooth as your flow, we've compiled essential travel tips into this handy guide. Let us demystify the logistics and make your travel plans a breeze!
Air Travel: ABQ vs. SAF
Which airport should I fly into? Albuquerque International (ABQ) vs. Santa Fe Regional (SAF):
ABQ offers a broader selection of flights, potentially at lower prices, but requires a longer transit to Santa Fe. It's an excellent choice for those looking to save on airfare. Rideshare options and public transport are both viable options to get to the shuttle point from ABQ.
SAF is closer to the retreat, offering the utmost convenience and a quicker ride to the retreat center. Perfect for those looking to get to the retreat with minimal travel time. However, rideshare options like uber/lyft are not usually available. SAF is a good option for guests planning on renting a car or who are comfortable navigating public transport bus and rail options.
Getting to the Retreat Center
I’m in New Mexico, now what?
Driving/Renting a Car? Simply pop "7855 Old Santa Fe Trl, Santa Fe, NM 87505" into your GPS. Enjoy the scenic drive and take advantage of free parking on-site.
Flying In? We've arranged complimentary shuttles from Santa Fe on opening day between 11:30am and 2:30pm. Guests are responsible for getting to the shuttle point, Shuttle sign up sheets will be shared closer to the event, ensuring you arrive at the retreat hassle-free.
Shuttle Point: Albertsons Market, Plaza Entrada 3001 S St Francis Dr, Santa Fe, NM 87501. This shopping center is walkable to a rail station and provides a variety of options for shopping for any necessities before heading to the site.
Timing Your Arrival and Departure
Seriously, when should I fly in and out?
Arrival: Check-in opens at noon on both July 31st and August 7th, with the opening ceremony at 4pm. Arriving in town early allows time to explore Santa Fe, pick up essentials, and settle in before the festivities begin.
Departure: The retreat closes at 10am on August 4th and 11th. We suggest booking an evening flight to enjoy the closing ceremony and farewells without rushing.
Transportation Back to the Airport
On closing day a shuttle will be leaving the site at 11am, ensuring you reach SAF and ABQ airports with ease. A small fee applies, based on sign-up numbers, ensuring a smooth and stress-free departure.
